Kale Privacy Policy

Kale is a media player for your own media server. It has no accounts of its own, no servers of its own, and collects nothing by default.

Your media and viewing activity stay between the app and the media server you connect it to — a server you or your household runs. Kale never sees them.

Diagnostics are off unless you turn them on. If you opt in, Kale sends technical reports about playback and download failures (error codes, timings, how far a download got as a percentage) to our error-tracking service so we can fix bugs. Reports never include your media library, file names, or account details, and you can turn them off at any time in Settings.

Poster images for titles you browse beyond your library are loaded directly from The Movie Database (TMDB), which sees the ordinary technical details of an image request (such as your IP address). Titles in your own library never touch TMDB.

That's the whole list for the app: no advertising, no tracking, nothing sold or shared.

This website counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, so we can see which pages people read and which sites sent them here. It records the page, the referring site, and your country, browser and device type. It uses no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and doesn't identify you or follow you to other sites. Cloudflare, which serves this site, handles each request under its own privacy policy.
